My Take
What I admire most about Ramón Díaz is that he conquered the game twice over, first as a sharp striker and then as the most decorated coach in Argentine history with 17 titles. Rising from provincial La Rioja to becoming River Plate's second-greatest manager behind Gallardo speaks to a relentless competitive streak that I find genuinely compelling. At 171 cm he was never imposing physically, which makes his trophy haul feel even more like a triumph of will and football intelligence. The fact that he is still active and outspoken online tells me the fire has never dimmed, and I respect that staying power enormously.
