My Take

Rina Mor is, to me, far more than the Miss Universe 1976 line on her resume. What impresses me is the second act: studying at Tel Aviv University and going on to practice law. Choosing the courtroom after reaching the pinnacle of beauty pageantry takes a kind of self-respect I find genuinely admirable. The world loves to reduce women like her to appearance, but she insisted on competing with her mind too. Beauty and intellect, claimed deliberately and on her own terms, make her a figure I regard with real esteem rather than passing curiosity.
