Road Warrior Hawk

Road Warrior Hawk, born Mike Hegstrand, embodied the raw power era of pro wrestling that hooked me as a kid. At 191 cm, decked in spikes and face paint, he and Animal as the Road Warriors—the Legion of Doom—simply bulldozed the tag scene from the '80s into the '90s. That sheer intimidation and physicality taught a generation what 'unstoppable' looked like. Losing him at 46 in 2003 still feels like a gut punch. Yet his enshrinement in both the WWE and Wrestling Observer Halls of Fame keeps the legend alive. A life that burned short but blazing—and I respect that fully.
