Shaukat Aziz

What fascinates me about Shaukat Aziz is the rare arc from career banker to head of government. Most politicians climb through party machinery, but he came from the world of balance sheets and credit, then ran a country the same way he might have run a bank. I find his clean exit just as telling as his rise: when his term ended, he simply left for the United Kingdom rather than clinging to power. That detachment feels distinctly like a financier's discipline. I respect leaders who treat office as a job to be done well, then walked away.
