My Take

Muhammad Waseem moves me because of where he started. Coming out of Quetta in Balochistan, hardly a boxing capital, and twice challenging for the IBF flyweight world title in 2018 and 2022 is a story of sheer will. He may not have captured the belt, but reaching for the summit twice is no small thing. The nickname "Falcon" fits perfectly; his speed and sharpness are exactly what I love about the lighter divisions, which casual fans wrongly dismiss as undramatic. To me, that flurry of quick, precise exchanges is boxing at its purest. I'm quietly in his corner.
