Sydney Chandler is on my shortlist of actors to watch before everyone else catches on. Born in Chicago in 1996, she came up through the web series SKAM Austin, held her own in the punk-era drama Pistol, and then landed a central role in Alien: Earth — a franchise that historically makes careers. What impresses me is the trajectory: each project is bigger and stranger than the last, which suggests genuine taste rather than luck.
