My Take

The Miz, born Michael Mizanin, is a guy I genuinely enjoy. A 188 cm Ohioan with a Miami University degree, he came up through reality TV before signing with WWE in 2004, an unusual path that earned him plenty of early sneers. He answered with relentless self-promotion and one of the sharpest microphones in the business, climbing all the way to the top as wrestling's perfect villain. He has since spread into acting and TV personality work too. What I respect is the hustler's spirit, the refusal to be rattled by criticism while selling himself nonstop. A true showman.
