Tommy Thayer

Tommy Thayer holds an unenviable distinction: stepping into Ace Frehley's iconic Spaceman makeup and owning it for over two decades in Kiss. I respect that quietly enormous task. Inheriting a legend's symbol invites endless comparison, yet Thayer kept the machine running with craftsman's reliability. His earlier work in Black 'n Blue marks him as a genuine player, not a stand-in. What I appreciate most is the temperament: behind the pyro and spectacle sits a steady, humble professional. The flashy showman who quietly does the unglamorous heavy lifting is exactly the kind of figure I find easy to root for.
