My Take
Tony Hale is one of my favorite scene-stealers precisely because he never quite steals the scene. As Buster on Arrested Development and Gary on Veep, he perfected a nervy, devoted, hilariously pathetic energy that won him two Emmys, which tells you the bumbling is meticulously engineered. Add Forky in Toy Story 4 and you have an actor beloved across generations and mediums. What I find admirable is his discipline: he plays support without ever overreaching for the spotlight. Behind that anxious face is real technical control, and that makes him exactly the kind of dependable character actor I trust completely.
