My Take
I genuinely get excited about guys like Tsubasa Yoshino — a kid from Kasugai, Aichi who took the serious route through Toho High, one of the most competitive baseball programs in the country, and then leveled up again to Waseda University. That path is not a fluke; that's a young man who actually does the work. Born in 2002, he's barely in his early twenties and already has a resume that most players twice his age would respect. Rakuten took him in the 2024 draft and he got his first big-league game in 2025, which means the story is still being written, and that's the part I find most interesting. He's at the stage where every season is a chance to announce himself, and I'm happy to watch him earn it.
