My Take

Virginia Gardner is one of those actors whose casting choices I trust. She has the polish of a model but keeps gravitating toward roles that demand sweat and screaming, from Karolina Dean's awakening in Runaways to clinging to a cliff in Fall. That willingness to look frightened, dirty and genuinely in peril is rarer than it sounds for someone with her looks. I read it as ambition over vanity. She's still early enough that her best work is almost certainly ahead, and I'd bet on her finding a defining dramatic role this decade. One to watch closely.
