Yuya Endo

I'll be honest, Yuya Endo isn't the kind of name that flashes across headlines every week, and that's exactly why I find myself rooting for him. Born in spring of 1987 in Atsugi, Kanagawa, he's one of those steady, dependable actors who quietly props up a scene rather than chewing the scenery in it. At 171cm with that clean-cut, easygoing look, he reads as the trustworthy guy you're glad shows up onscreen, the one who tightens a story up just by being there. What gets me is where he started: a shy kid whose mother put him in a children's theater troupe, who later chased auditions on his own and became Ryoma Echizen in the Prince of Tennis musicals. That kind of unflashy, long-haul sincerity is honestly my favorite flavor of working actor.
