My Take
Zhang Yiming is one of the most consequential figures of our era, and I find his temperament as interesting as his fortune. From the provincial city of Longyan to Nankai University to founding ByteDance in 2012, he built Toutiao and Douyin/TikTok, reshaping how billions consume information. A net worth above US$100 billion is staggering, yet what strikes me is that he is an engineer-founder who altered global culture. I would love a glimpse inside the mind that quietly rewired the world's attention.
