My Take

Adam Lamberg will always be Gordo to a generation, the warm, loyal best friend of Lizzie McGuire. What genuinely interests me, though, is the path he chose afterward. Plenty of child stars chase the next gig until the spotlight burns out, but Lamberg stepped toward UC Berkeley and a more ordinary life. There is real quiet confidence in walking away from fame on your own terms rather than clinging to it. I find that more admirable than any reboot or comeback could be. He gave us a beloved character and then simply chose himself, and I respect that choice.
