Alejandro Kirk

Alejandro Kirk is one of those players who makes you rethink everything you thought you knew about what a catcher "should" look like — at 5'8" and built like he enjoys life, he just crouches behind the plate and quietly outperforms guys twice his size. Born in Tijuana, he came up through the Toronto Blue Jays system and by 2022 he was an All-Star and Silver Slugger winner, which is genuinely elite company for a catcher. What gets me is his bat-to-ball contact — dude has one of the lowest strikeout rates in the league, and his on-base skills are legit. He's proof that raw, unconventional talent beats the cookie-cutter mold, and honestly the Blue Jays have been lucky to have him anchoring that lineup.
