My Take
Cuarón is, to me, one of the most complete filmmakers alive. From Mexico City to the heights of Hollywood, he never diluted his voice, and his command of the long take feels almost musical. Winning Best Director twice tells you something, but editing his own Oscar-winning work tells you more: this is someone who understands every frame from the inside out. What I admire most is his range, drifting from intimate coming-of-age stories to vast science fiction without losing warmth. I genuinely rush to the cinema whenever his name appears on a poster.
