My Take
For me Armin Shimerman will always be Quark, the scheming Ferengi bartender who somehow became the moral conscience of Deep Space Nine across all seven seasons. What I admire is the craft hiding under all that latex: he made a comic alien genuinely human. Then he turned around and played Principal Snyder on Buffy, all dry menace, and voiced General Skarr too. That range from sympathetic rogue to petty tyrant shows a real character actor at work. The UCLA training shows. He's exactly the kind of performer who never carried a marquee but quietly made several beloved shows better.
