Brad Sherman

Brad Sherman is the kind of figure I find easy to underrate and then quietly respect. An accountant and lawyer out of UCLA who has held a California House seat since 1997, he represents durability over flash. I'm genuinely interested in politicians with a numbers background, because fluency in budgets and finance tends to sharpen how they argue policy. Winning re-election to the House for nearly three decades isn't luck, it's a long accumulation of constituent trust. Longevity invites criticism, fairly, but it also signals that voters keep finding him useful. I have a soft spot for the workmanlike, less glamorous public servant.
