Carmelo Hayes

What draws me to Carmelo Hayes is the trajectory: a kid out of Worcester, Massachusetts, climbing all the way to a WWE United States Championship reign on SmackDown. Worcester isn't a glamour town, and I think that grit reads in the ring. Born in 1994, he's still early in his prime, yet he already wears two hats, performer and trainer, which tells me he thinks about the craft, not just the spotlight. That blend of star quality and a technician's mindset is exactly the combination that ages well in this business. I genuinely believe his ceiling is much higher than what we've seen, and I'll be watching.
