My Take
Charlie Sheen is one of Hollywood's great cautionary tales, and yet I find it impossible to dismiss him. At his peak he was a genuinely gifted leading man — sharp comic timing, effortless charisma, a Golden Globe and a star on the Walk of Fame to show for it. The public meltdowns and controversies, including his turn toward anti-vaccine activism, complicated his legacy badly, and I will not pretend otherwise. But watch his best work and the talent is undeniable. To me, Sheen embodies the gap between what a performer can do and what fame lets him become — fascinating, frustrating, and very human.
