Duane Washington Jr.

Duane Washington Jr. is a player I find easy to root for. Born in Frankfurt in 2000 and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with both American and German roots, he's a true international product, and his path from the Ohio State Buckeyes to EuroLeague basketball with Partizan Belgrade and now Bayern Munich shows real grit. The detail that grabs me most is that his father was the NBA player Duane Washington; chasing a parent's legacy across continents adds a quiet weight to his game. I have a soft spot for second-generation athletes who carry that pressure with hunger rather than entitlement, and at his age the ceiling still feels wide open.
