Evan Ryan

Evan Ryan represents the kind of public service I genuinely admire, the unglamorous, foundational work that rarely makes headlines. From Boston College to Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs under Obama, and on to White House Cabinet Secretary under Biden, her career has centered on the machinery that keeps governments and cultural ties functioning. I'm drawn to people who invest years in educational and cultural exchange, the slow diplomacy that builds trust between nations. There's no spotlight in that work, only consequence. To me, that's exactly the sort of steady, behind-the-scenes dedication that deserves a respectful bow.
