My Take
Ezra Klein is, to my mind, one of the better stewards of how we argue in public. From an Irvine upbringing and a UCLA education, he came up through blogging into serious journalism, co-founded Vox, and now writes for The New York Times and hosts a podcast built on long, patient conversation. What I value is his refusal to flatten complexity for outrage; he tends to treat hard political questions as genuinely hard. You can disagree with his conclusions and still trust the process behind them. More than any single take, he's popularized a way of thinking through problems, and that's a rarer contribution than being right on any given day.
