Italia Ricci is, to me, the model of a dependable television actress, and I mean that as high praise. Designated Survivor asked her to be the emotional spine of a chaotic White House, and she delivered week after week without showboating. What impresses me more is the range on either side of that role: a young woman facing illness in Chasing Life, a shrieking villainess in Supergirl.
