My Take
What strikes me about Jazz Jennings is the sheer courage of living so publicly from such a young age. Appearing on national television at seven and becoming one of the earliest openly documented transgender people took a bravery I can scarcely imagine. Through the reality series I Am Jazz, children's books, and tireless advocacy, she turned her own life into a beacon for kids facing the same struggles. The criticism she has absorbed would crush most people, yet she keeps facing forward. I admire anyone willing to become the public face of a cause and shoulder that weight for others.
