My Take
Jhong Hilario fascinates me because he refuses to stay in one lane. Dancer with the Streetboys, comedian, television host, actor, and then a Makati city councilor from 2016 to 2025; that is a genuinely rare spread. I tend to be skeptical of celebrities pivoting into politics, but performers who built careers on reading and moving crowds often carry real instincts for public service. My read is that the empathy and timing he honed in entertainment translate directly into constituency work. He strikes me as someone grounded rather than merely versatile, and that earns my respect.
