My Take
Kamaru Usman is one of those fighters who makes dominance look almost boring — and I mean that as the highest compliment. Born in Benin City, Nigeria, moved to the States as a kid, wrestled his way through college at Nebraska-Kearney, won The Ultimate Fighter 21, and then went on to become one of the most decorated UFC Welterweight Champions ever, defending that title more times than most people bother to count. What gets me is how he fights: no flash, no unnecessary drama, just relentless pressure and a granite chin. He's the guy who makes elite opponents look completely lost by round three. The Nigerian Nightmare nickname fits — he's a nightmare precisely because he never panics, never stops, and always seems two moves ahead. Pound-for-pound one of the best welterweights the sport has ever seen, full stop.
