Kelli McCarty

McCarty's life has a fascinating range that I genuinely admire. From Liberal, Kansas, she rose to be crowned Miss USA 1991 and reached the Top 6 at Miss Universe, then anchored real screen work as Beth Wallace on Passions for years. What interests me is that she refused to be frozen as a pageant queen; she kept redefining herself, including a bold turn into adult film later on, owning her body and her choices on her own terms. That willingness to follow her own curiosity past everyone's expectations is, to me, far more compelling than the crown itself.
