Kirby Dach

Kirby Dach is the kind of prospect I find genuinely intriguing. A 193 cm centre out of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, taken third overall in the 2019 draft, he carries the heavy burden of expectation that comes with going so high. The move from Chicago to Montreal gave him a fresh stage, and at his size the upside is obvious if his game keeps maturing. I like big centres who use their reach to win battles rather than just glide. My take is that his ceiling is still ahead of him, and I am quietly betting he grows into it.
