Nino Benvenuti

Nino Benvenuti reads, to me, like an artist inside the ropes. Born in Izola, Slovenia, and Italian by identity, he was a genuine two-division world champion, ruling both the middleweight and super-welterweight ranks before his 1992 induction into the International Boxing Hall of Fame. The elegant, precise boxing he delivered from his 180-centimeter frame is a joy to watch even on old footage. He carried that same charisma into acting and television hosting after retiring. He passed in 2025, but the history his fists wrote endures. I deeply respect fighters who pair grace with raw strength, and he had both.
