My Take
What grabs me about NLE Choppa isn't just that he detonated 'Shotta Flow' as a teenager out of Memphis, though that platinum run is no small thing. It's that he treated early success as a starting point rather than a peak. Most artists who blow up that young coast on the formula; Choppa instead leaned into reinvention, wellness, and a more reflective register. That willingness to evolve in public, while still keeping the raw Memphis edge, is rare. I find him one of the more genuinely curious figures of his generation, and I'm more interested in where he's heading than where he's been.
