Numan Acar

Numan Acar fascinates me as a genuine border-crosser. Born in Gümüşhane Province, Turkey, yet working as a German actor and producer, he carries two cultures into international projects. What impresses me most is his refusal to stay in front of the camera alone; directing, writing, and producing reveal a real authorial drive. I am always drawn to artists who keep challenging themselves across languages and borders, and Acar strikes me as exactly that restless, ambitious kind of creator.
