My Take
Rocky Romero is one of those guys who just makes professional wrestling more fun to watch — full stop. Born in Havana, Cuba and making his name on the global scene through New Japan Pro-Wrestling, he carved out a reputation as a high-energy, technically sharp performer with genuine personality to spare. His run as one half of Roppongi Vice alongside Trent Beretta gave him a tag team identity that fans genuinely latched onto, and his involvement with the Don Callis Family in AEW kept him relevant across both major promotions simultaneously. What I appreciate most is that he never felt like a filler act — even in a supporting role, he brings real intensity and a kind of charismatic grit that probably traces back to those Cuban roots. A wrestler who works both NJPW and AEW at a high level? That's a career worth respecting.
