My Take
Ryan Gosling fascinates me because he keeps weaponizing his own leading-man image against itself. The same actor who broke hearts in The Notebook and La La Land chose near-silence in Drive and gleeful absurdity as Ken in Barbie, and somehow every register feels fully his. That deadpan comic timing, funny while the face barely moves, is one of the rarest gifts in modern screen acting. Add the restaurant venture and his producing work, and you get a star who treats fame as raw material rather than a destination. Two decades in, I still cannot predict his next move, and that is the highest compliment I can give.
