Sho Kimura

Sho Kimura is a former world champion boxer out of Kumagaya, Saitama — and if you know anything about Kumagaya, you know it holds the record for the hottest temperature ever recorded in Japan. So yeah, this guy literally trained in an oven. What I find genuinely compelling about Kimura is the detour: he quit boxing in high school, came back at 23, and went on to take the WBO flyweight title from Zou Shiming. In boxing, that kind of quiet usually means the work ethic is doing all the talking, and I respect that more than any highlight reel.
