Sotaro

There's something genuinely intriguing about a guy who graduates from Keio — one of Japan's most prestigious universities — and then decides the stage and the runway are where he belongs. Sotaro, born in 1986 and standing a clean 180 cm, has the kind of lean, composed presence that makes both acting and modeling feel like a natural fit rather than a compromise. Born in California, schooled at University High School in Irvine and then Keio, he keeps a fairly low profile by modern standards, and honestly that restraint is part of the appeal for me. In an era where everyone's algorithm-optimizing their personal brand, someone who just quietly keeps working earns a different kind of respect. I get the feeling he's the actor you suddenly notice mid-scene and think, wait, who is that — and then realize he's been there all along.
