My Take

I'll be honest: Steve Bannon is one of the figures I find hardest to write about neutrally, and that difficulty is exactly why he matters. Whatever you think of his politics, and I disagree with plenty of it, his instinct for where media power actually lives is undeniable. He moved from finance to film to Breitbart to the White House to a daily podcast, always positioning himself at the loudest microphone available. I read him less as an ideologue than as a strategist who treats attention as currency. Studying his trajectory tells you a great deal about how modern politics is actually fought.
