My Take
Born in January 2009, Yukiya Ikegawa is still only seventeen and already pulling double duty as both an idol and an actor — that's a lot of ambition packed into someone so young. Born in Okinawa and raised in Osaka, he mailed his own application to the agency at ten and now performs with Boys be, which reads like a deliberate slow build, letting the work speak first. He's early, and the interesting part is watching what shape this career takes from here. Fresh talent with the volume turned down is sometimes the most interesting kind to follow.
