My Take

Abby Elliott is proof that comedy is the toughest training ground there is. Born into showbiz as Chris Elliott's daughter, she could have coasted, but instead she earned her stripes on Saturday Night Live and then quietly reinvented herself as a dramatic anchor in The Bear. What I admire most is the range: sketch timing, sitcom warmth, and now the raw realism of a chaotic restaurant family. Performers who start in laughter tend to carry a human texture into drama that purely serious actors rarely match.
