My Take
Bob Baffert is basically the closest thing American horse racing has to a dynasty builder — the guy trained two Triple Crown winners, American Pharoah in 2015 and Justify in 2018. Six Kentucky Derby wins, eight Preakness Stakes titles — the records speak for themselves. And yet Baffert has always been a polarizing figure: that shock of white hair, the showman's confidence, the controversies that followed him into the 2020s. You can't deny the talent, though. Whatever you think of the man off the track, watching his horses run is something else entirely — there's a reason he's won multiple Eclipse Awards and keeps dominating the sport decade after decade.
