My Take

Cason Wallace is exactly the kind of player that makes you excited about where the NBA is heading — a 2003-born Dallas kid who came out of Kentucky already wired like a veteran. His defensive IQ at that age is genuinely rare; he reads passing lanes the way guys twice his age struggle to, and watching him disrupt plays in Oklahoma City feels less like a rookie finding his footing and more like a future two-way cornerstone settling in. The Thunder built something special around that young core, and Wallace fits the culture perfectly — competitive, low-ego, hungry.
