My Take

Matt Sydal, who many of us first knew as Evan Bourne, is exactly the kind of high-flyer I gravitate toward. At 173 cm he was never going to overpower anyone, so he built his game on speed and aerial precision, and his Air Bourne finisher was a thing of beauty. I respect that he won WWE Tag Team gold with Kofi Kingston and then reinvented himself, eventually landing in All Elite Wrestling. The fact that he came out of St. Louis and even spent time at the University of Missouri before chasing this path adds to my sense of him as a smart, adaptable competitor.
