Kanaphan Puitrakul

Kanaphan Puitrakul, known as First, is part of the wave that has turned Thai television into a serious regional force. Tall, photogenic and signed to GMMTV, he became a standout in Thailand's booming series scene with roles in Not Me, The Eclipse and Only Friends. What I find notable is that he is not just a pretty face; he studied at Srinakharinwirot University and has shown real willingness to take on heavier dramatic material rather than coasting on looks. The international following he is gaining, including in Japan, says a lot about how Asian entertainment has matured. He represents a confident new generation.
