My Take
Katherine Maher fascinates me because her career sits exactly where information, technology, and public trust collide. Leading the Wikimedia Foundation and then becoming CEO of NPR means twice being handed the keys to institutions people rely on for truth. That is a heavy, often thankless stewardship, and I respect anyone willing to steer it. Connecticut-raised and NYU-educated, she belongs to a generation of leaders shaping how we access knowledge. I find her trajectory more compelling than most celebrities, because the decisions she makes quietly ripple across how millions read, listen, and understand the world.
