Katie Britt

Katie Britt is a politician I find worth watching, whatever one's partisan leanings. Rising from Enterprise, Alabama, through the University of Alabama and a legal career, she became in 2023 the first woman elected to the U.S. Senate from her state and the youngest Republican woman ever seated there. That is a serious achievement built on local roots and lawyerly discipline. What strikes me is the trajectory itself: a young person from Enterprise, Alabama, reaching the center of national politics. Regardless of where you stand on her positions, that kind of climb commands a certain respect and signals real ambition.
