Kevin Hern

Kevin Hern fascinates me as a businessman who became a legislator. Born in Missouri, raised in Arkansas, and an Arkansas Tech graduate, he made his name in enterprise before entering Congress for Oklahoma in 2018. I generally find that people who've actually run companies bring a useful, numbers-literate realism to policy, weighing risk and consequence rather than abstraction. What I'd watch for is whether that operator's instinct translates into durable governance. To me he embodies the self-made executive testing his pragmatism in the political arena.
