Kintaro Kanemura

Kintaro Kanemura is the kind of wrestler who makes you wince just thinking about his career highlights — and I mean that as the highest compliment. Coming up through the wildest corners of Japanese deathmatch wrestling in the 1990s, he built his name in promotions like W*ING and FMW where barbed wire, fire, and broken glass were basically standard ring equipment. What I respect most is that he wasn't just a spot-monkey absorbing punishment for shock value — there was genuine toughness and commitment to character that set him apart. Wrestling under both the Wing Kanemura and Kintaro Kanemura names, he carved out a long, distinctive career that earned him cult-legend status among hardcore fans worldwide. Not everyone's cup of tea, but if you appreciate wrestlers who fully lived their gimmick without flinching, Kanemura is exactly that guy.
