Larry Holmes

Larry Holmes deserves far more credit than popular memory grants him. Often overshadowed by Ali, he held the heavyweight crown from 1978 to 1985, and his jab is routinely ranked among the finest in the division's history. To me, that left hand is the whole story: precise, punishing, and the product of pure technical discipline rather than spectacle. Born in Georgia and forged in Easton, Pennsylvania, the Easton Assassin built a reign on consistency, not theatrics. His 2008 Hall of Fame induction finally aligned recognition with reality. I have deep respect for fighters whose greatness lies in mastery rather than showmanship.
