My Take

Liu Chao-hao's career arc genuinely interests me: a judge who later became a politician. Moving from the bench, where you render verdicts, to the legislature, where you shape lives, takes real conviction. Born in 1967 in Taitung, a remote and beautiful corner of Taiwan's east coast, and educated at National Chengchi University, he represents a region too often overlooked by the political center. I admire public figures who choose to carry the voice of the periphery into the halls of power. The fact that he maintains an Instagram presence suggests he understands modern connection too, which I find refreshing in a former judge.
