Marika Kobashi

Born in 2001 and already throwing herself at professional wrestling — Marika Kobashi is the kind of person who clearly looked at a sensible career path and decided it wasn't for her, which honestly earns respect. She made her name in Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling, one of the most charmingly chaotic and visually fun promotions in the Japanese scene, and something about that colorful, almost pop-idol-meets-athletic aesthetic feels like a natural fit for someone her age. She has since gone freelance and moved to Malaysia, which only adds to the sense of adventure. She's early in her story, and that's exactly why she's worth watching now.
